Greased Lightning is my Level 3 rocket that flew for the first time in September of 1999 and again in the Spring of 2000 for a successful level 3 flight.
10' 4" tall, weighs 52 pounds loaded, has two 12' diameter Rocketman chutes, a missile works altimeter and payload bay. Totally scratchbuilt design, including a handmade nose cone, the body tube came from the construction of our local Junior High and was wrapped in fiberglass along with plywood fins.
With the help of Richard, from our local club, GL will fly again this summer at LDRS on an experimental motor. More updates soon.....
